Managing Your Subscription Plan

Snapshot uses Shopify’s integrated billing system, which means you can upgrade or downgrade your plan directly from your Shopify Admin. This guide explains how to change your plan at any time.

🔧 How to Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan

Follow these steps to change your current Snapshot plan:

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin Go to: https://your-store.myshopify.com/admin

  2. Access the Snapshot app

  3. From Snapshot, access the Billing page.

  4. You will see your current plan and available options:

    • Upgrade to access higher backup limits or premium features

    • Downgrade to a smaller plan if your store doesn't need as many backups.

  5. Click the plan you want to switch to and confirm the change through Shopify’s billing screen.

🔄 Alternative Way to Change Your Plan

You can also change your plan directly from inside the Snapshot app:

  1. In your Shopify Admin, go to Apps.

  2. Open the Snapshot app.

  3. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner of the app window.

  4. Select Manage app.

  5. Scroll to the Billing section to upgrade or downgrade your plan.

This provides a quick shortcut without navigating through the Settings menu.

📅 When Do Plan Changes Take Effect?

  • Upgrades → Apply immediately.

  • Downgrades → Apply at the end of your current billing cycle.

All billing adjustments are handled automatically by Shopify.

All payments are processed securely through Shopify Billing, meaning:

  • Charges appear on your Shopify invoice

  • Pricing is clearly displayed before confirming a change

  • No hidden fees

  • You can cancel or uninstall the app at any time

Can I switch plans anytime?

Yes — you can upgrade or downgrade whenever you need.

Will I be charged twice if I upgrade mid-cycle?

No. Shopify automatically prorates or adjusts any charges.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

Your subscription is automatically canceled.

Do I lose my backups if I downgrade?

Your existing backups remain safe, but your plan settings adjust according to the new plan.
